Normal lessons and taking new students starting May 4th!

However, some ways of doing things will change. We are actively encouraging safe-spacing at the barn. While we are fond of helping smaller riders dismount, we need parents to step in at the end of lessons to help their kids. Please wear yo...

Apologies. Starting April 1st (and sadly this is not a joke), we are temporarily closed for two weeks due to COVID-19 and governor mandate closing all non-essential businesses. We hope to be back up and running by April 15th, but information is shifting rapidly and closures may be extended.

I have been riding English with Scotsgrove Stables since i was 8, i am now 18. Leslie Scott and Laurie Ridgeaway have taught me everything i know about horses. The barn is home to me and everyone there is family. Riding at Scotsgrove also teaches responsibility, good character, and leadership at times. I recommend this barn to anyone and everyone. I have been to several other farms and would say that this place is by far the best place in The Upstate.

Scotsgrove Stables has been a big part of me and my families life. My big sister, Benay has been riding for almost eight years and loves it. I have been riding for about a year and two months in all. And my little sister has ridden for about seven months in all. There was a point when my brother and dad rode as well. My mom is always there, and knows all the horses names She is very enthusiastic about being at the stables. I thank Scotsgrove Stables, Leslie, and Laurie for teaching us how to ride.

We are Scotsgrove, a unique horse facility that is friendly and fun! Sitting on the border between Inman and Lyman we have nearly 400 acres winding with trails and green pastures. Part working farm and part nature preserve, we are proud to be in a conservation easement to preserve the land for future generations to enjoy.
We offer English style horseback riding lessons for riders of all levels and interests six-years-old and up. Our trainers have years of experience foxhunting and eventing with a focus on safety and kindness.
